Physical Therapist Assistant

Description

A professional assistant who is licensed, and skilled in the treatment of physical impairments through the use of special exercise, manual therapy, movements, and physical modalities as directed by the supervising physical therapist. The goal is to assist persons who are physically challenged to maximize independence and improve mobility, self-care, and other functional skills necessary for daily living, sports and work-related activities.
 

Duties

Job duties will include:

  • Deliver skilled physical therapy care within the scope defined by Washington State, and the standards defined by the Company.
  • Manage a patient care schedule that meets the Company production standards.
  • Document all clinical activity and utilization reviews in accordance with the Company standards.
  • Confer with supervising physical therapist, and other pertinent parties as necessary to appropriately manage patient care.
  • Actively pursue clinical continuing education and works towards professional growth/development goals.
  • Utilize outcome data to determine needs for training.

 

Qualifications

Qualified Physical Therapist Assistant will exhibit the following:

  • Associate degree from an accredited school for physical therapist assistants.
  • Active license to practice physical therapy in the state of Washington.
  • Minimum one to two years’ experience as a physical therapist assistant in an outpatient sports/spine/orthopedic setting.
