Maria Thomassie, DPT
Maria Thomassie, DPT is a native of Thibodaux, Louisiana. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology from Louisiana State University and a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in New Orleans.
Maria’s experience includes outpatient orthopedics, acute care, spinal cord injury rehab, and working with students and athletes with disabilities at the University of Illinois.
Maria enjoys volunteering, particularly in the areas of adaptive and wheelchair sports and recreation. Maria uses a hands-on approach to create an individualized treatment plan for each patient with a balance of postural training, manual therapy and exercise prescription. She believes in patient education to help each person understand their condition and empowering them to return to their active and independent lives.
Being new to the Pacific Northwest, Maria enjoys exploring Seattle, particularly the restaurant scene and the beautiful outdoors.
